·        Avoid direct sunlight, dry it in a place with partial or indirect sunlight to avoid any discolouration

·        Never squeeze the water out of it by wringing to avoid permanent lines and maybe cuts

·        Wrap saree in absorbent fabric and lay it out rather than hanging it
