Modest Indian fashion for all our fashionistas

Indian wear comes in various shapes, designs and patterns. Everyone has something for them.

So, all my beautiful ladies who are not comfortable wearing low waist sarees or small cholis, we are here to guide you on how to look like a complete stunner that you are without any skin show.

We will decode modest fashion one outfit at a time, what is better than starting with the versatile saree.

Sarees

So, sarees don’t always mean skin show. For example, take any designer plain saree, to turn it into modest wear, pair plain sarees with sleeved blouse with boat neck. If waist-show is not your style, get the blouse stitched a little lower and wear your saree high-waisted. Perks of high-waisted saree is that it makes you look leaner and taller. In fact, most women are opting for high waisted sarees these days and it looks absolutely breath taking. You can tie high-waist saree with any fabric like woven tussar pashmina saree or if you find woven sarees online and even any plain saree or embroidered saree will work too.

Lehenga/Laacha

This is easy, if you want to look flattering yet modest, choose a style of choli that you are comfortable with. If just plain shirt style long choli is not your preferred option, you can go for options like peplum choli, short kurta style, uneven hemline choli, button up choli and so many other styles. If you want to go for georgette stitched laacha, placement of your dupatta can make a whole lot difference. Drape your dupatta like you would a saree pallu and there you go!

Salwar Suit

Most modest Indian wear is a salwar kameez. You can opt for Anarkali stitched salwar kameez, it is flowy and comfortable yet look super stylish.

Wild card entries in our final list are a gown dress. These are modest, modern and appropriate thing to wear if you prefer comfort. Second comes georgette printed kaftan, it trending because its good. It’s a must try.
